DIFFERENT-TYPES-OF-HAIR-EXTENSIONS

Hair extensions are made from two different hairs which are synthetic hair and human hair. Synthetic hair extensions are in most times coated with silicone in order to provide them with the natural glossiness it needs. However, this glossiness fades off after a while. Unfortunately, the synthetic hair extension cannot be dyed or styled. Unlike human hair, they are less expensive due to their low quality. The synthetic hair can last for as long as three months, meaning its not an idea hair extension if you’re looking to wear them on a daily basis.
The human hair extension, on the other hand, is just like human hair. Just like your natural hair, the human hair extension can be dyed and styled to an extent. One amazing fact about this hair is that the cuticles face the same directions, making it a type of hair extension that blends properly with your own hair. However, this type of hair is a lot more expensive than the synthetic set and you can expect them to last for as long as six to twelve months.

HERE ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF HAIR EXTENSIONS:

MICRO LINK/LOOP HAIR EXTENSION/ MICRO BEAD

Starting the list of hair extension types are the micro link hair extension which can also be known as the loop hair extension and the micro bead. These type of hair extensions are applied by looping the extension with your natural hair and then clamping it using pairs of pliers and then a metal bead to finish it. This type of hair extension can either move up or slip down the hair shaft – this is an advantage to those who don’t move up them up, and a disadvantage for those that find it extremely annoying. One of the major disadvantages of these hair extensions is that they result in breakage at most times. This is because the heat that comes from applying the metal rings can reflect in the hair and burn it.

TAPE HAIR EXTENSIONS

This particular hair extension is a semi-permanent hair extension and the main reason why they are great is that they are quick and easy to fit in. The tape hair extension is usually pre-taped and can then be sandwiched on the sides of your own hair. This type of hair extension lasts from as long as six to twelve weeks. Although they are pretty to put in and easy to maintain, they are usually of low quality and end up tying your hair up a bother.

WEAVE HAIR EXTENSIONS

The weave hair extensions are usually of more advantage with girls who have thick locks, they take a lot of hair into disguise. The weave hair extension is usually applied in a very unique way, where you braid your natural hair in a cornrow and then you attach the extension using a needle and a thread of cotton. An amazing thing about this type of hair is that they can go with all type of hair. However, if this type of hair is applied too tight, they can pull a strain on the scalp of your hair and are not suitable for girls that have fine hair.
