Lace closure, frontal and 360. What is best for you?
Am I the only one that’s finding it really hard to keep up with all the new modalities of the hair
extensions world? Every time I turn around, it’s something new to use, something new to slay or
something new that has now taken over the latest trend of installing hair extensions. Its crazy right!?!?
I recently had a custom wig made and my stylist asked me, if I wanted a lace closure, lace frontal or 360
frontal. While options are good, I’m sure this kind of thing can be quite confusing for first time hair
extensions wearers or new wig wearers.
Below I will be giving you some details on what a lace closure, lace frontal and 360 frontal is and what
they are typically used for and why they are used for that purpose. You’re still with me, right?
A Lace Closure – Is a circular shaped piece of lace with stands of hair attached to it. It is normally about
4X4 inches in size. However, they have recently added some new size closures of 5×5 and 6×6. A closure
if used in place of where your leave out should be place if you are getting a sew-in. They used as a form
or protection for the wearer’s natural hair.
Lace closure, frontal and 360. What is best for you?
Lace Frontal – Are much bigger and measures 14×4 inches. This will stretch on your head from ear to
ear. Just like the closure, it is made out of a lace material with hair strands embedded at the base. Lace
frontals will give you several options and styles to wear your hair. You can also choose any color
variation because there is no natural hair left out, so the wearer’s hair is completely protected.
If your lace frontal is customized and installed properly, it is a great option because it very natural.
360 Frontal – To make things simple, a 360 frontal is just like a lace frontal but it goes completely
around your head. Think of it as a lace headband with hairs attached to it. The 360 frontal imitates the
entire hairline. You will have the most styling options using a 360 frontal because you will have the
freedom to wear your hair in high ponytails. Just like the lace closure and the lace frontal there is no
natural hair left out.
I hope this helps you give some guidance on the differences between lace closures, lace frontals and 360
frontals. Now you just have to determine which one is best for you.
I would love to hear from you! Let me know what you preference is.
