Springtime is approaching and soon it will be the perfect time for the springtime ponytail. After having your hair braided down in protective styles all winter your scalp will need a breather and your hair will need to be primped, which is a perfect opportunity to have a springtime ponytail. Whether it’s your natural hair or ponytail hair extensions it’s an easy quick and convenient style to start off the spring with. Now let’s get into the different type of ponytails that you must choose from.
Mohawk ponytail: let’s start with one of the most provocative ponytails that are out there which is the Mohawk ponytail. The Mohawk ponytail is great if you have thick hair that is very long. And it is kind of three ponytails tied in one, meaning that you create a ponytail that is high, a separate ponytail that is low, and a third ponytail that it is in the middle. You take all three of these ponytails and you twist and tie together to create a Mohawk that covers the entire length of your head from front to back. This is a great ponytail also to add some color into whether you wanted to add blue, pink or red.

Braided ponytail: now the braided ponytail is for just about any type of hair length or thickness. It’s simply done by creating a very low ponytail at the bottom of your neck which is the normal and standard ponytail that we all know and adding a bit of flare to it by creating a braid on each side of your head that follows the hairline behind the ears and joins the ponytail in the back of the head. This is a great way to just do something different with a normal standard ponytail. Perfect for brunch or lunch with a friend just to add a little bit of swag to your look.

High ponytail: this is in fact my very favorite ponytail, along with Ariana Grande’s favorite. It’s very important to straighten the hair bone straight when creating this look. Make sure there are no bumps or lumps and gather the ponytail base at the very top of the Dome of the head. I think its most attractive when you use an elastic band and then use some of your hair to wrap around the elastic band and cover it. This ponytail always looks like a classy hairdo straight out of the salon when in fact it can be done at home.
Corn roll ponytail: we all know cornrows take 6 to 8 hours to be styled but once they are styled, you can pull them up into a ponytail with an elastic band high on the Dome over the head and leave two braids, one on each side as a detailed decoration. This is again a great brunch look just something with swag and pizzazz to show off that springtime sun dress.

Genie ponytail: Genie ponytail takes the high ponytail to a whole another level, don’t forget to allow bangs to hang and fall onto your face. It’s especially important that you use a specific type of Hairspray to protect the hair with his ponytail because there will be a lot of straightening as you wear it daily, please remember to protect your hair ladies whenever you’re using heat.
That’s it for springtime ponytails, here’s hoping that your winter was memorable and that your spring smells as sweet as Paris itself.
